Emergency Orientation Workshops services

Cascade Facilities Management Consultants Ltd offers hands-on assistance to school districts struggling to ensure they are prepared for disasters at both the district level and the school level, and to colleges and universities seeking to update their emergency plans.   These workshops are also effective for building owners and strata councils. In Delta School District, separate orientation sessions were held with several district level groups including: senior management, principals, and DPAC.  In fall of 2006, workshops were held with the Emergency Planning Committee of every school in the district to assist them with finalizing an effective emergency response plan unique to their school and neighbourhood.  Generally these workshops involve 4 to 6 people from the school (administrator, staff, and parents) working at a round table with 2 Cascade consultants.Cascade also worked with the Saanich School District Physical Plant Department, the Victoria School District Facilities Department, and Sea to Sky School Districtto improve their emergency response planning and capabilities. In 2011, Cascade assisted a private corporation, Portrait Homes Inc, to develop their company’s emergency plan.  This included presenting a workshop to all employees on regional emergency preparedness issues and home/personal preparedness.
Hands-on workshops help organizations to improve building occupants’ emergency response plans and address unique circumstances at their location.
